Meet the BMW i8

The i8 is BMW’s new concept car, a plug-in hybrid that is turning a lot of heads. This sporty coupe is built with high-tech, super strong Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) that makes for a lightweight and aerodynamic body. BMW claims that the i series vehicles will deliver unbeatable fuel efficiency and production is said to begin in 2013.

If you can’t wait until 2013 to get a closer look at the i8, it will be making an appearance in Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. Agent Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, can be seen driving this advanced supercar and rumors are that the new 6 series will be making an appearance as well.
